They should have a keen eye for detail, a strong artistic vision, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. There is no standard requirement for certification, but training or certifications in video editing software can be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Video Editor, an individual might have roles such as a Production Assistant, Video Production Intern, or Junior Video Editor.
