Assignment Editor Jobs in Albany, NY

An Assignment Editor in the broadcasting industry serves as the primary point of contact for news, stories, and events that the news station covers. They are tasked with deciding what stories are of interest to the audience, assigning reporters and photographers to cover those stories, and ensuring that all assignments are completed on time. They also manage the logistical aspects such as coordinating with other departments, making travel arrangements, and handling other administrative duties. Prior to becoming an Assignment Editor, a person may have roles such as a News Reporter, News Producer, or News Photographer.
