Marketing & Communications at Weber State University seeks a sophomore or junior student majoring in digital media, multimedia journalism, film studies, visual arts or another photo/video-related field to assist in helping Marcom create educational and informational video content.

The student must already have produced and edited videos prior to this job, as this person will be responsible for filming and editing videos for platforms such as YouTube for Weber State University.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.

This position will also serve as a backup to our project manager, offering opportunities to support project coordination efforts.

Ideal for a Weber State student looking to gain hands-on experience in video production and digital content creation. This experience can count as a paid internship.

Assist on photo and video shoots.

Photographing events and daily life at Weber State.

Other office duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should be creative and have strong communication skills; possess good work habits and can assist with multiple projects at a time; have familiarity with pre- and post-production work.

Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking applicants who can represent the university in a professional manner; have a willingness to take direction; have familiarity with cameras, lighting, audio equipment, editing and interviewing; have the desire to convey stories through videos and photos.
