Position Description: Oklahoma Christian University Videographer is responsible for creating high-quality video content that enhances the college's brand, engages audiences, and supports recruitment, marketing, and institutional storytelling. This role involves filming, editing, and producing videos for various platforms, including social media, the college website, events, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Production & Editing:

  • Plan, film, and edit videos for promotional campaigns, events, student life, and academic programs.
  • Capture compelling footage that aligns with the college's brand identity and storytelling goals.
  • Edit video content, incorporating motion graphics, text overlays, and music to create engaging visuals.
  • Manage post-production tasks, including color correction, sound design, and final video rendering.

Content Strategy & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing, communications, and admissions teams to develop video concepts and strategies.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to highlight stories that showcase campus life, academic excellence, and community engagement.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all video content.

Event Coverage & Live Streaming:

  • Provide video coverage for key college events, including commencement, guest lectures, athletic games, and campus activities.
  • Set up and operate equipment for live-streaming events to online audiences.Equipment & Asset

Management:

  • Maintain video production equipment, ensuring it is in working order and up to date.
  • Organize and archive video files for easy access and future use.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in video production and digital media.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
  • Experience with professional camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording.
  • Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for visual composition.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Experience with motion graphics software (Adobe After Effects, Motion, etc.).
  • Knowledge of social media video formats and best practices for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Familiarity with live-streaming software and platforms (OBS, Wirecast, YouTube Live, etc.).

Working Conditions & Expectations:

  • Occasional evening and weekend work is required for event coverage.
  • Ability to lift and transport video equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects at once.
