Production Supervisor: 600 Commercial Avenue, Carlstadt, New Jersey, 07072
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing personnel, processes, materials, and equipment from start to finish in our Yoo-hoo retort manufacturing facility in Carlstadt, NJ. This role works closely with site leadership to establish and lead processes that uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost control, and employee engagement.
Shift and Schedule:
This is a full-time, day shift position working Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
Serves as a safety champion, promoting a culture where team members take ownership of personal and team safety. Ensures a clean, hazard-free work environment and maintains compliance with all site and regulatory safety standards.
Supports all departmental activities to ensure timely execution of the production schedule, meeting both production and service goals while maintaining high customer service standards and effective inventory management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Assists the Manager in achieving cost and performance targets, completing projects and assignments on time and in alignment with strategic plans.
Ensures strict adherence to food safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Drives continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and TPM principles across safety, quality, and productivity. Identifies and implements enhancements to processes, equipment, methods, and materials.
Collaborates with supply chain and cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve coordination.
Partners with maintenance and technical teams to keep equipment in OEM condition, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective performance with minimal impact to customer service.
Promotes employee engagement through HPT (High Performance Team) principlessets clear goals, evaluates performance, maintains open communication, provides coaching, and fosters a collaborative team environment.
Supports the creation and implementation of standardized procedures and training to develop and grow team members.
Manages staffing needs within budget and escalates employee-related issues through appropriate channels.
Provides guidance and support to technicians in troubleshooting production equipment as needed.
Brings a high-energy, organized, data-driven, and results-oriented approach to leadership.
Total Rewards:
- Compensation Range: $66,500 $94,000 (based on experience and skills)
- This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly basis.

Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree from accredited University preferred (Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study)
- 2 years of experience as an Operations/Production Lead or Supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Must be available to work any shifts, weekends and overtime as dictated by business needs
- Retort manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of TPM, lean, kaizen/six sigma preferred
