News Production Assistant (Part-Time)

WHAM has an exciting opportunity for a part-time News Production Assistant!
Responsibilities include:
Operate Teleprompter, Camera, Weathertracker, and/or Audio for our broadcasts
Prep for newscasts including but not limited to:
Studio and set preparation
Edit video on deadline
Maintaining studio
Lighting
Other duties as assigned
Experience:
Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television production or related field preferred
Training will be provided
General Hours: Weekdays, Early Morning Hours
Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays
Other hours as needed
The base hourly compensation for this role is $17.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
